Department of «Heat, gas supply and ventilation PoltavaNationalTechnicalYuriKondratyukUniversity founded in 1962. The first head of the department was Associate Professor V.B. Bobovich from 1962 to 1973. Under his leadership and with the direct participation has been established and continuously improved the material and technical base of the department and its personnel structure. Subsequently, the department was headed by Professors: Bykov Gennady Alexandrovich (1973-1983), Vinnik Vasily Ivanovich (1983 – 1988), Golik Yuriy Stepanovich (1995 – 1998), Anatoliy Stroy (1998 – 2011), Anatoliy Pavlenko (2011 – 2017). Golik Yuriy, PhD, professor, now is head the Department. During its existence the department has established close scientific and international relations with eminent scientists, renowned authors of textbooks in the field of heat and ventilation.

Preparation of specialists in "Heat and gas supply and ventilation" is from 1959. The basis for the training of this trend was the order of the Ministry of Education of the USSR № 1345 from 12.30.1958, the CVM and the order of the USSR number 102 of 26.03.1959 year.

Anatoliy Kolienko - PhD, professor of Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University. He graduated from the Poltava Institute of Civil Engineering in 1973 in "Heat and gas supply and ventilation." Post-graduate and Ph.D. degree at the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute. Bogdan Kutniy - PhD, docent. He graduated from the Poltava Institute of Civil Engineering in 1994 in "Heat and gas supply and ventilation". In addition to the basic training in Thermogasdynamics, heat and mass transfer, thermal experiments and other basic disciplines in the field of thermal physics, the department courses, taking into account the specific conditions of the future place of work: the thermal control system, thermal protection, heat exchangers, combustion processes and the combustion chamber, heat engineering and stands test; compressors and expanders, the theory of workflow heat engines, refrigeration and air conditioning, automation systems, heating and cooling systems, installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems, experimental methods of diagnosis and debugging of heat engines, hydrogen technology, technology, energy audits computing thermal physics, computer simulation heating elements of machines, control systems, energy complex, including the systems of heating and cooling.

A graduate of the department will be able to perform thermal analysis engines, including aircraft, cooling power plants, complex thermal-hydraulic systems and their components, testing, commissioning and operation of thermal power and cooling equipment.

The research activities of the department "Heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering" identified the following areas of research:

Lectures on heat and mass transfer for specialty "Heat power engineering" National Research Center Physico-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Modern Energy covers all areas of scientific and practical activities of mankind. The technical level of energy systems require highly qualified personnel that possess not only deep skills development, certification and operation of such systems, but information technology and new business creation and management of investment programs.    So relatively recently at the Faculty of Oil and Gas and Nature Engineering opened a new Direction of preparation students - "Heat power engineering" and the decision of the future challenges we and target our graduates, preparing them in some way. The training provided by highly skilled specialists of the department Heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering. The department is equipped with modern laboratory facilities, which include specialized laboratories under the profile specialties.

Focusing on a wide demand for specialists in our educational process is carried out both in classrooms and laboratories of the university, and the various industry enterprises in Ukraine and even abroad. This year the established practices of students in universities of Poland. Radom and the city. Kielce.

In 2014 between of Technology - Humanitarian University of Casimir Pulaski (UTH m. Radom) and Poltava National Technical University signed a long-term agreement on scientific and academic cooperation in the areas of "Heat power engineering" and "Heat, gas supply and ventilation". According to this agreement, students of the heat power directly for 2014/2015 academic year were invited to UTH m. Radom for practical training, and recently - to participate in a scientific exhibition «Piknik naukowy».

The purpose of this event was to approach students and teaching science in our schools, and the formation of joint research projects in the long term. One result of this cooperation is the joint publication of scientific publications in the of Technology - Humanitarian University of Casimir Pulaski, where scientists publish their work faculty of oil and gas and Nature engineering, UTH s. Radom and other educational and scientific institutions in Poland, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The result of student cooperation is the joint development of solar collectors and panels in the departments Heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering PoltNTU and renewable energy UTH m. Radom.

FOR STUDENTS:

5 campus dormitories, with access to the Internet; dining room, a cafe; student sanatorium; medical center; modern gyms; stadium; 2 playground; education and recreation complex. There are a Centre of culture and the student's creativity with a student club, brass band, the school of KVN, theater, dance and vocal bands.

MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL BASIS OF POLTNTU:

10 academic buildings; 65 teaching and research laboratories, equipped with full-scale equipment; access to the Internet via a wireless connection system Wi-Fi in academic buildings; computerized science and technology library (500 thousand copies of the textbooks); 5 reading rooms with 500 seats.

Laboratory facilities includes a unique teaching and research oil and gas landfill (polygon). Also at University operates Networking Academy CISCO, training center of Delcam plc. (The UK). There is a Language Center at University for increasing  teachers’ and students‘ knowledge of foreign languages.

Student Life of heat power engineering - not just weekdays

It has become a good tradition at the Department of Heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering (Head. Department prof. A.M.Pavlenko) to conduct extracurricular activities curators accountability groups.

So in the autumn sports and athletics which traditionally takes place in Poltava National Technical University, the Faculty of oil, gas and Nature engineering 9 October 2015 on the football field, which is located close to the case "F" held a friendly meeting between the teams of students and curators respectively g. 101 NT (curator as. prof Guzik D.V.) and g. 101 aNT (curator s. lect. Koliyenko V.А.). Victory with a minimum score of 1:2 101 aNT team received. All participants of the tournament expressed their wish to make such traditional competitions and conduct of each semester. Especially the losing team meeting I want to take revenge for the defeat.

As part of the cultural life of October 13, our group visited nearly all the staff performance Cherkassy Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after Shevchenko, which took place within a tour of the theater in the premises of the Poltava Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after MV Gogol.

THE CONCEPT OF DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT for 2010-2020.

Dept. of heat and gas supply and ventilation was established in 1962. Its creation was due to the need to train highly qualified personnel in the field of heating, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and gas supply.

Dept. heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering is part of the Faculty of oil, gas and natural engineering is produced and provides training in the field of " heat and gas supply and ventilation", "Heat power engineering" and the "Power engineering management " on education and skill levels - Bachelor, Specialist and MA.

The high professionalism of the teaching staff of the department is the guarantor of training highly qualified specialists - creative, unorthodox thinking, forward-looking, capable of working in the construction and power engineering, enterprises, institutions and organizations of various forms of ownership and subordination, in universities, in research and research institutes.

The aim is to increase the Concept of scientific and pedagogical potential of the department, the elimination of the causes that slow its adaptation to the social market economy and integration into the university in the European and global educational and scientific space, strengthening the work in the formation of high-quality scientific and educational potential, social protection all employees of the department, the development of partnerships with related departments of universities in Ukraine.

 

In developing the concept takes into account three interdependent strategies, defining its goals, principles and activities, organization and methods of solution of specific training, research and teaching objectives:

1) personal and professional, which means that only a powerful personal and professional capacity of teachers, teacher-mentors are able to form a similar and more powerful potential future professionals;

2) creative-heuristic, which is manifested in the constant search for creative ways to improve the training of specialists in the construction and heat power engineering;

3) the interaction and co-operation is realized at the level of the department, between teachers and employees of the department, at the university level, between the Department heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering and other departments and divisions of the university, between teachers and students, on the all-Ukrainian level: the development of partnerships with relevant departments other universities, research institutions and organizations, construction companies.

- The introduction of innovative methods of organizing the educational process, the use of advanced learning technologies;

At the present stage, when Ukraine carrying out modernization of the educational activities in the context of the European requirements, joined the Bologna process, which is associated with the development of European higher education, the main task of the Department of heat and gas supply, ventilation and heat power engineering is to improve the general technical level of training of future specialists of educational qualification of "Bachelor" "Specialist" and "MA" of all disciplines in the relevant departments of the university.

1. Improving the educational content of disciplines and participation in job training plans:

1.1. Working to improve the content of curricula of general economic disciplines including professional orientation of their teaching. The content and structure of disciplines should take greater account of the specifics of a future profession, the results of scientific research in this field of activity, and state legal documents and regulations MES.

1.2. Improving the curriculum of academic disciplines to meet current problems in the functioning and development of higher education in Ukraine.

1.3. Filling the curriculum outcomes of domestic and foreign research and teaching developments.

1.4. Constant updating of the training modules to meet modern standards and relevance.

1.5. Adaptation programs of academic disciplines in the European educational space.

1.6. Participation of teachers in the department of scientific and methodological conferences and seminars to explore ways to develop and generalization of technical education in higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

2. The organization of the educational process and methodological support of disciplines in terms of creating pan-European educational space

The main purpose of the educational activities of the department is to prepare and issue a competitive professionals of heat, ventilation and heat that have acquired knowledge and skills in accordance with national and international criteria and standards of higher education.

2.3. The training of qualified specialists in the construction and power system, which will have a priority right to work in the institutions and organizations of various forms of ownership.

2.4. Creation of the Department of the working groups that constantly monitor and improve individual learning units ("Heat supply", "Gas supply", "Energy saving", "Heat power engineering").

2.5. Preparation for printing and publication of textbooks and manuals on subjects department, as well as preparation for the re-release of those materials that are widely accepted among students and teachers.

The main objective of educational work of the department - the formation of young students of the complex personality and character traits of the future expert and citizen of Ukraine, which combine in-depth knowledge, skills and practical skills, national consciousness and pride in their country and the development of spiritual, moral, artistic, aesthetic, legal , political, physical, environmental culture.

Activation of educational work in the academic groups on a national civic education of students, which should be based on the principles of humanism, democracy, continuity and succession of generations, respect for the Ukrainian language and culture, a culture of inter-ethnic relations, realization of Ukrainian national idea.

5.4. The use of the curators of the academic groups when working with students of a student-centered approach, active methods of education with a view to the formation of students to respect the laws and norms of coexistence in society, strengthen the propaganda against anti-social behavior.

10. Expected results of the concept
