70 - 80 years of the twentieth century, characterized by significant volumes of housing construction with the use of wet plastering interior surfaces of buildings. Already in the 70's by an idea alleviate the very difficult work of plasterers, most of whom were women, by its mechanization, or even robotics. There are large organizations in the former Soviet Union turned their efforts to solve this very important problem. International connections among educational institutions and organizations

Realizing the long-range program of university development, international activity defined as one of the priorities of PoltNTU Olexandr Onyshchenko construction machinery and equipment department in general. Each year the university expands partnerships with foreign educational institutions, implements principles of academic mobility of students and educational staff, participates in international projects and programs.

Specialists training for foreign countries

In Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University trains specialists for Belarus, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and also there is joint training with Poland, Czech Republic and Germany.

The university provides fruitful cooperation among training leading universities in Europe, China and others for teachers’ further training and students’ education.

Interuniversity cooperation with foreign partner universities

Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University has long-term agreements on scientific cooperation with 64 universities and institutions of foreign countries, such as:

  • Royal Institute of technology (Stockholm, Sweden);
  • High School of Technology, Economy and Culture of University of Applied Sciences (Leipzig, Germany);
  •  K. Tynystanov Issyk-Kul State University (Kyrgyz Republic);
  • Tashkent State Technical University (Uzbekistan);
  • Institute of Oil and Gas (m. Krakow, Poland);
  • Tshawane university of technology (China);
  • Brest State Technical University (Belarus);
  • Glyndor University (UK);
  • Qiongzhou University (China);
  • Beijing institute of technology (China);
  • Tadeusz Kościuszko Krakow Technological University (Poland).

These agreements are aimed at the implementation of joint activities to improve the educational process and the mutual exchange of scientific research in the fields of education, science and culture.

The main directions of cooperation:

• exchange of experience in the educational process;

• exchange of teachers;

• exchange of students groups within the student practices;

• joint research in the field of education, science and culture;

• exchange of scientific information and documentation;

• cooperation in the field of training of the teaching staff (academic training);

• organization of joint seminars and conferences;

• joint publication of scientific research;

• implementation of the program of academic mobility of students;

• implementation of pedagogical experiment “double diploma program”.

In 2013 PoltNTU was elected as member of EU project “Higher Education in Ukraine” by European Investment Bank, in the framework of which will be provided the modernization and renovation of buildings housing the University for Energy Efficient Technologies.

Members of the Government budget program of Ukraine were trained in the universities of China, Belgium and Great Britain. It should be noted that Olexandr Goryun is master of electro engineering faculty, participant of the budget program, who has successfully completed studies at the Glindor University and for fourth consecutive year he won the International competition of student projects of Delcam plc. He received a scholarship to study at master degree in Massachusetts University (USA) as the winner of the competitive selection program of Fulbright.

We continue the fruitful cooperation with Delcam. Students and academic staff together with the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy are working to develop a unique prosthetic surgery for the face. After studying the course subjects related to the software of Delcam, electro engineering faculty graduates became engineers and designers, who apply the knowledge gained by working in enterprises of Poltava region and at work on the latest machine tools with CNC. The University is a five-time winner of this contest.

Electro engineering faculty graduate Olexandr Loktionov won a victory in the international competition “Future aces computer 3D-modeling 2014” and received the title of best research project in the field of agricultural development. Electro engineering faculty graduate Olexandr Karpenko get Beijing University of Technology master's degree under the scholarship program of the Government of China.

Today the university is a member of the British Council program “English for universities”, and won an application to participate in the Ukraine Higher Education Leadership Development Program.

This year PoltNTU and the USA Peace Corps of Ukraine signed a cooperation agreement, the university invited the volunteer Larry Rafeti, who is native English speaker and provides teaching to enhance foreign language university students and improve their competitiveness in the international labor market.

In order to integrate the domestic sector research in the European Research Area and support implementation of the Framework Program for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020" at the PoltNTU in 2015 continued its activities National Contact Point in “Secure, clean and efficient energy”.

Students at the Department of construction machinery and equipment are actively involved in research activities. Areas of research: improving the design, maintenance and technical diagnostics of automobiles, theoretical foundation and establishment of mechanization of manual labor in construction; theoretical foundation and creating vibration machines for precast concrete business; improvement of working construction, earth-moving and road-transport vehicles and others. During the studies, students determined the topics master works. The results of their studies, students represent the scientific and technical conferences of the university and beyond.

Each year, students work on topics contractual works with wages from customers, make reports at the conferences of the university and beyond, publish theses and scientific articles in faculty and professional collections of scientific papers, apply for inventions and utility models and get the patent, submit scientific to the contest and receive prizes and diplomas, participate in nationwide competitions and receive prizes.

Around fifteen years ago at the University of the initiative group of active young people based student self-governing movement.

With the support of the university administration and student government trade union provided a room, office equipment and telephone created the right conditions for active participation of all social and active students in academic and extracurricular educational process.

The activities of the student government Poltava National Technical University carried out a collective electoral body - University student parliament, which operates under the "Regulations on student self-government." Under the new law "On education" this provision was updated and approved August 7, 2015 general meeting of the student government of the University.
