Department of Tourism and Administration welcomes you!

Tourism and Administration Department was created with the aim of teaching the disciplines of tourism, as well as managerial orientation for students of economic specialties.

The department trains students in the specialties "Tourism" (Bachelor’s degree), "Management of foreign economic activities" and "Business Administration" (Master’s degree).

The teaching staff of the department consists of 5 people. There are 1 Doctor of Science (Economics)- and 3 with the degree of candidate of sciences.

From 2012 the courses of tourism and management directions were taught by the academics of Management and Administration Department, which was reorganized from the Department of Management and Marketing.

Due to the fact that any tourist activity is based on the results of the achievements of fundamental and applied science and the efficient organization of research, the scientific support of the preparation of specialists on tourism plays a leading role. That is why, the Department of "Tourism and Administration" was established in October 2015.

The department conducts persistent work in preparation for the harmonization of the educational process with the requirements of modern European education. These traditions are now seeks to continue and develop the current staff of the department.

The department has 1 doctor of economic sciences and 5 candidates of economic sciences.

 

Chernysh Iryna

Research interests: managing the creation of investment attractiveness of the tourism sector; tourperating; documentation support of tourist business; problems of tourism in the Poltava region; Event tourism management.

Bakalo Nadezhda

PhD, Associate Professor

 

Research interests: management of the company in current economic conditions;  problem solving conflicts in various business activities; HR and features of personnel management, management psychology and business etiquette in tourist activity.

Glebova Alla

PhD, Associate Professor

 

Research interests: management of joint stock companies under market conditions; organization of restaurant and hotel industry; expense management of tourism company.

Kazak Elena

PhD, Associate Professor

 

Research interests: advertising in tourism, development of tourism in Poltava region, the tourism sector and its impact on the socio-economic situation in the regions, marketing activities in the tourism sector.

Research interests: crisis management of tourism enterprises, rural and green tourism, world recreational complexes.

Teachers of the department take part in the scientific-theoretical and practical studies on behalf of the Poltava regional administration, which are of particular importance for the determination of the main directions of the tourist development of the Poltava region, perform self-financing work for business entities in order of region. Department initiated the signing of the cooperation between the Research Centre of Industrial Problems of NAS of Ukraine and Poltava National Technical University which provides joint research, preparation of books and articles, conferences, training of teachers and the training of graduate students, doctoral students. The department carries out research work on the topic:

"Market-adapted control mechanism of socio-economic system".  Strategically important for the development department is oriented capabilities and efforts of teaching staff, postgraduate, masters to conduct applied research and commercialization of the results. Emerging new areas of research associated with current and new Master's degree Bachelor specialty "Tourism". Much more active work on the preparation of scientific articles in professional journals and foreign, including with students.

Research results are implemented in production, project practices, regulations and used in the preparation of textbooks, lectures, performance of course and degree works.

The Department of Tourism and Administration invites you to participate in the annual international scientific conference "Management of tourism industry: Methodology and Practice", which is traditionally held in September-October.

Students of the department involved in research work carried out under the guidance of teachers to help them prepare for national and international competitions of scientific works competitions and conferences. The result is a joint research activity of students receiving prizes at competitions and scientific work at the regional and national levels.

In late May 2014 in Kyiv National Economic University at the final conference of Ukrainian student research "Picturesque Ukraine - tourist land" marked student work field of study "Tourism". In particular, the Ukrainian Association of tourist operators "for the development of an innovative project in the field of tourism" awarded works Antonina Kalynovska (work on "The combination of pagan and Christian traditions in Borshchiv") and Yelena Osipova (work on "Pomoriany Castle - the pearl of the Western Lands"). Students Alexandra Panasenko, Sergey Krasnoshtan and Alina Yatsenko were awarded by diplomas to promote rural green tourism in the nomination "for the development of a promising tourism project." Preparation of students was committed by Ph.D., associate professor M.I. Drohomyretska.

In the Kyiv National Economic University was summarizing Ukrainian student research "Picturesque Ukraine - Travel Land" (2014 - 2015 academic year), which has become traditional and is supported by the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism and Resorts. In consideration of the tender committee, students field of study "Tourism" Poltava National Technical University presented interesting scientific work: "The historical buildings of the city Mirgorod" (author - Chelembiyenko Catherine, a group of 301-ET), "Pomoriany Castle - jewel of western lands" (author - Yelena Osipova, a group of 302-ET). Supervisor - PhD, associate professor Drohomyretska M.I. For active scientific research and educational activities in promoting local history, our students received thanks from the President of the National Union of ethnographers Ukraine.

September the 22-nd, 2015 in the premises of the Poltava Regional Academic Puppet Theatre held celebrations on the occasion of World Tourism Day and Tourism Day in Ukraine. A pleasant surprise for all those present was summarizing the regional competition "Tourist hospitality Poltava", which was held with the support of the Poltava regional public organization "The regional tourist cluster" and management of infrastructure and tourism Poltava Regional State Administration.
Among the winners in the category "Best Information Booklet" were students of specialty «Tourism» - Sergey Krasnoshtan (ET-301), Anna Konichenko, Jana Masliy and Ivanna Oliferuk (Group ET-302); in the nomination "The best page in the social network" - Natalie Hook (group 201-ET) (supervisor - Ph.D., associate professor Drohomyretska M.I.).

Student Haricheva Svetlana academic group  5EMz "Management of foreign trade activities", supervisor: Prof. Markina I.A. took the third place in the competition of student research papers on natural, technical and humanitarian sciences 2013/2014 academic year in "Management" section of "Management (of economic activity)", March 13, 2014 in Kharkiv National University of Economics.


Student Haricheva Svetlana academic group 5EMz "Management of foreign trade activities", supervisor: Prof. Markina I.A. took the third place in the second stage of the Ukrainian student competition on the subject "European studies", 15-17 April 2014 at Donetsk State University of Management.

 

Glushko Alena student of "Management of foreign trade activities", supervisor: Prof. Markina I.A. took the third place in the second stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in "International Management", 23-25 April 2014 at the Odessa National University of Economics.

 

 

 Catherine Yatsenko student of specialty "Business Administration", supervisor: Ph.D., associate professor Amelina I.V. took the first prize in the annual competition of student papers "From student government - to government communities," November 17, 2014 for the scientific work "Development of eco-tourism facilities in Poltava region (on example of creating a green estate" Renaissance tradition ").

Korsunska Marina student of "Management of foreign trade activities", supervisor: Prof. Markina I.A., took a diploma and degree at the National competition of student papers in Science "Management", Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, April 15 2015.


Lyushen Catherine student of "Management of foreign trade activities", took a diploma of second degree in the National Olympiad in specialty "International Management" at the Odessa National Economic University, April 22-23, 2015.

Catherine Yatsenko student of specialty "Business Administration" has got the third degree diploma on Ukrainian student Olympiad "Intellectual Property" at the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, April 22-23, 2015.

 

 

The aim of the international activity of the department is to expand areas of cooperation with universities, government and non-government organizations of foreign countries, identifying strategic partners and implementing joint projects in research and education at the "Faculty - Faculty", "Chair - Chair," "Professor - Professor, "etc., etc. revitalization of grant activities.

At the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Administration of Poltava National Technical University was a co-organizer of: International scientific and practical conference, held at the Academic Society of Michal Baludyansky 13-16 September 2015, Kosice, Slovakia.

 

Catherine A. Yatsenko assistant of the Department has won a grant for participation in the volunteer program Erasmus + "Common past for diverse and creative education" for the term of 2016-2017 academic year in the College of Technology and technologies in tourism in Kuldiha (Latvia).

 

Student of specialty "Tourism" Perepelytsya Vladlena participated in the internship in Bialystok Technical University and visited a number of training sessions at the Faculty of Management 5-12 May 2016 (Bialystok, Poland).

 

Head of the Department of Tourism and Administration Doctor of Sciences (economics) Chernysh Iryna won the grant, funded by the European Commission within the framework HORIZON 2020. The project CREA - summer academy creativity and ict for new entrepreneurship involves learning practical skills and their implementation in developing start-ups. The project runs from September 5 and September 16, 2016 in the city. Ostuni (Italy).

PoltNTU offers to international students accommodation in the hostel. Comfort of hostels depends on the wishes of the student. If desired, and possible, students can rent an apartment, but the accommodation has one distinct advantage - communication with Ukrainian students and improving of language skills. It is easier to establish relationships and make friends with other students, exchange information concerning subjects under study in the hostel.

As part of the passage of organizational practice, the students of specialty 242 "Tourism" during 10-15 June 2016 visited the Travel Agency "Bonus Tour", where they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practical activities of tourism enterprises.

Students had the opportunity to talk with head Tatiana Ryabchenko and other employees of the travel agency.

Training sessions for students of specialty "Tourism" are not only within the theoretical material, but also practical skills.

September 30, 2015 at the initiative of the department was conducted tourist meeting on the occasion of World Tourism Day. The event was the further development of sports tourism in Poltava region as an effective means of improving the comprehensive development of the individual and promoting healthy lifestyles students of specialty "Tourism" our university.

The main objectives of the event were: promotion and popularization of sports among students of tourism; test and improve technical and tactical skills of students; determine the strongest teams of sports equipment tourism; promoting safety sports and hiking for sports tourism; education of patriotism; environmental education.

It took place at the Poltava tourist camp "Senegal", located in the village Nyzhni Mliny

In modern conditions of tourism is the most dynamic area of human activity, which covers the entire range of services in organization of rest. Of course, the need for qualified specialists of this industry is constantly growing, so a new training direction "Tourism", which was recently opened at the Department of Tourism and Administration of Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University named, is becoming increasingly important.

It should be noted the initiative of the students of specialty "Tourism" is a possibility of discussing current news of student life and academic specialties at the social network "VKontakte" - "real tourism"
